Staying Safe While Saving Lives

There was a blood shortage in Brazil during the pandemic, as many people were too scared to risk exposure to donate blood. The solution was to allow people to use their cars. Chevy partnered with Albert Einstein hospital to set up a blood donation center to provide a safe place for people to donate- in their cars (A survey showed 70% of people felt safe inside their cars during pandemics). It was built in just two weeks, following WHO guidelines.
Result: collected 20% more blood than before pandemic, donations reached 50% reaching pre-pandemic rates, helped save lives.
